Frequently asked questions

Clear answers about privacy, file limits, and image quality.

Is my PDF secure during conversion?

Yes. PDFtoPixel processes the file in your device browser. Your file and generated images are not uploaded to an application server for conversion.

What are the PDF file size and page limits?

The default limits are 50 MB and 100 pages. These limits help keep browser memory usage safe; individual deployments may use different limits.

When should I use PNG, JPG, or WebP?

Use PNG for lossless output, JPG for smaller files with a white background, and WebP for efficient modern compression. You can adjust JPG and WebP quality before exporting.

Can I open a password-protected PDF?

Yes. When a PDF is encrypted, PDFtoPixel requests the password in your browser. The password is used only to open the document during that session.

Can I download only specific pages?

Yes. Select page cards, use Select all, or enter a range such as 1,3-5, then export the selected pages separately or in one ZIP file.
